Rapid Support Forces announce complete control over Kaziqil area in North Kordofan

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) announced today that they have taken full control of Kazgeil, a town located in northern Kordofan State, following what were described as fierce battles against government forces and their allied militias.
Field sources confirmed that the RSF managed to enter the town and tighten their grip on key positions, while government forces were reported to have withdrawn toward the outskirts of the state. Eyewitnesses spoke of tension and chaos in the town following the clashes, amid residents’ fears of a worsening humanitarian situation.
Kazqil is considered a strategic location due to its proximity to the city of Al-Obeid, making its capture a significant development in the ongoing confrontations between the two sides over the past months.
